Insurance options

Insurance. It's always great to know that you have it. From one day to the next, life can take you to unexpected places and situations, like illness or injury. Insurance offers you peace of mind, security and financial protection. It's important to consider your options and review where you are, especially if your circumstances have changed and a family now relies upon you.

Insurance

If you were a member prior to 12 January 2009 your rates and cover may be different. Further details are available here, or contact us for details.

At Australian Enterprise Super, you have a number of insurance options to protect yourself and your family should the unexpected occur.

As a member, you may be entitled to insurance cover to protect you and your family if illness or injury prevents you from working or in the event that you die. The insurance cover available includes:

  • death and total and permanent disablement insurance (TPD)
  • income protection insurance which can provide you with an income over the short term

Death and total and permanent disablement insurance (TPD)

AutoCover

If you are an eligible employer-sponsored member, AutoCover automatically provides one unit of insurance cover.

Personal/self-employed and spouse members must apply for cover.

AutoCover costs just $1 per week and applies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The amount of cover you may receive is based only on your age, without reference to your gender, health or occupation.

The value of each unit of death and TPD insurance is shown in the following table.

ChoiceCover

ChoiceCover allows you to choose the right amount of extra insurance cover. You can choose to apply for the amount of ChoiceCover that suits you, subject to providing satisfactory evidence of your health.

Apply to purchase insurance cover up to a maximum insured benefit of $3 million subject to the completion of appropriate medical evidence and acceptance of cover by the Insurer. We will let you know if any exclusions or conditions apply due to your personal circumstances.
