Protecting yourself and your family

We insure our homes and cars, but often overlook the obvious - ourselves! Have you really stopped to think how your family would cope without your earnings? Illness, injury or accidents do happen and usually when you least expect them.

Insuring yourself through super is easy and, for many people, it's tax effective. You don't have to worry about payments as they are automatically deducted from your account. Your super contributions are taxed at just 15% - this can make it a very tax-effective way of paying for your insurance premiums.

Automatic cover

Upon joining Australian Enterprise Super , if you are eligible, you are automatically given low-cost insurance cover for Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD).

Additional cover

Australian Enterprise Super gives you, if you are eligible, the flexibility to increase insurance cover.

You can choose:

• additional Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) cover; and/or
• Income Protection cover.

Transferring other insurance

For most members, applying for additional personal insurance is relatively simple, you determine the level of cover you need, complete an application form and obtain the additional peace of mind.  For other members, obtaining additional personal insurance can be tricky, especially where medical conditions or general health cause concern for the insurer.

If you have accounts with other super funds, you may have insurance cover too. Just like you can consolidate your super into Australian Enterprise Super, you can also apply to do the same with your insurance.

Transferring your insurance is easy. All you need to do is request a Transfer of Insurance Form, complete and provide evidence of your existing cover. If eligible, Australian Enterprise Super will match your level of cover, and add it to your existing cover with Australian Enterprise Super, subject to our terms and conditions.
