About Australian Enterprise Super (AESuper)

AESuper is a division of the Professional Associations Superannuation Fund (PASF) which operates as a not-for-profit, flexible and cost-effective public offer superannuation fund.

It allows eligible members to:

  • make provision for their retirement
  • apply to insure themselves for death, disability and Income Protection benefits with competitive premium rates
  • access services including competitive banking products and corporate health insurance plans.

AESuper accepts:

  • superannuation guarantee and award contributions
  • contributions remitted by the employer as part of salary packaging arrangements, for example employer supplementary and salary sacrifice contributions
  • after tax (undeducted) contributions from both employees and the self-employed
  • tax deductible contributions from the self-employed
  • Co-contributions (find out more on co-contributions)
  • spouse contributions.

AESuper adopts a simple yet effective strategy:

  • Keep administration costs as low as possible
  • Use high-profiled experienced administrators and investment experts
  • Adopt investment policies based on a long term approach to asset accumulation
  • Offer investment choice (over $1000)
  • Maintain a high standard of friendly professional service in administration, investment management and member benefits.

Our history

AESuper has evolved since 1988 when it was established as the Queensland Retail Traders and Shopkeepers Association Superannuation Fund to provide retailers, café owners, restaurateurs and caterers with an alternative to those Industry funds sponsored by Trade Unions.

In 2000, as part of a national expansion plan, AESuper underwent a name change from the QRTSA Superannuation Fund to Australian Enterprise Superannuation Fund.

With the introduction of Choice of Fund legislation in 2005 AESuper was chosen by employers in many diverse industries Australia-wide to fulfill Superannuation Guarantee Charge obligations for their employees.

Membership is now open to people from all business types, with both employed persons, self-employed persons as well as individuals welcome to enrol as members.
